I would like to highlight that it is not only Indonesia but the world has also been challenged by food and nutrition security as well as energy security issues. It is our obligation as scientists, researchers and innovators to contribute towards addressing those issues.

It all starts with our rigorous, hands-on degree programs in engineering, science, aeronautics, business, psychology and liberal arts. As tools increase in complexity, so does the type of knowledge needed to support them. Moreover, these tools have become so complex that a comprehensive infrastructure of technical knowledge-based lesser tools, processes and practices exist to support them, including engineering, medicine, and computer science. Complex manufacturing and construction techniques and organizations are needed to construct and maintain them.

Technological utopianism refers to the belief that technological development is a moral good, which can and should bring about a utopia, that is, a society in which laws, governments, and social conditions serve the needs of all its citizens.
