Best early deals on fitness equipment

Amazon Prime Day runs June 23-26 this year, but early discounts on fitness equipment have already started appearing. The deals cover treadmills, exercise bikes, and adjustable dumbbells, with some price cuts reaching several hundred dollars. Shoppers looking to upgrade their home gyms can find options ranging from budget-friendly foldable treadmills to refurbished premium spin bikes.

Treadmill deals drop to as low as $350

The Echelon Stride Sport 40 machine is listed at $589.20, down from $899.99. It reaches speeds up to 12 miles per hour and offers a 10 percent incline. The machine includes an LCD display and a device holder for streaming Echelon’s subscription programming.

A step up, the Echelon Stride 4S+22 costs $1,499.99, reduced from $1,899.99. It matches the Sport 40’s speed and incline specs but adds a swiveling 22-inch touchscreen. For those on a tighter budget, the Sunny Strider foldable machine is $349.99 — half its original $699.99 cost. It tops out at 7.5 miles per hour and lacks an incline setting.

The Sunny model’s folding design could appeal to apartment dwellers with limited floor space, though its lower speed and no incline may not suit serious runners.

Exercise bikes: refurbished Peloton and budget-friendly options

A certified refurbished Peloton Bike+ — the older style, not the newer Cross-Training version — is selling for $1,395, down from $1,995. That’s also less than the typical refurbished Bike+ cost, according to the listing. Buyers should note that refurbished products may have cosmetic wear and a shorter warranty than new units.

Two cheaper alternatives are also on sale. The YOSUDA Friction 1.0 cycle is $189.99, reduced from $249.99. A Sunny cycle with a 40-pound flywheel is $299.99, down from $359.99. Neither offers the connected fitness experience of the Peloton, but they provide basic cycling at a fraction of the cost.

Adjustable dumbbells see solid discounts

The Bowflex Results Series 552 weights are listed at $328.99 for a pair, normally $429.99. They adjust from 5 to 52 pounds per weight, a range that covers most home workouts. MouldBody adjustable weights cost $239.99 per pair, down from $329.99, and adjust from 6 to 50 pounds each.

Both sets replace multiple individual weights, saving space and money.

The Bowflex set is a well-known model, while the MouldBody option offers a slightly lower starting weight and a lower cost. Neither offer appears to be limited-time only yet, but stock may vary as Prime Day approaches. The early sales are being compiled by a commerce team that tracks price drops. Not all promotions are guaranteed to last until the main event — some could sell out or revert to regular pricing. Shoppers should check return policies and warranty details before buying, especially on refurbished items.

This article will be updated as more fitness equipment offers surface in the days leading up to Prime Day.
